JV meets for second quarter

The Joint Ventures Committee is made up of representatives from the City of Mantorville, the City of Kasson and the KM school district. The groups mission is to invest in shared assets that benefit all three entities and reducing the need to redundant investments within our communities.

The Joint Venture Committee meet today at 7:30. We discussed improvements to Mantorville's Riverside Park Basketball Court and we also approved spending up to $2000 for safety improvements to the new girls softball batting cages. The next meeting of the Joint Ventures Committee is in the July time frame.

Bandshell project is progressing

Our Engineer has examined the site location and the hydraulics for the area and we are confident that the band shell project can continue to move forward

Anexation Designs are progressing

The City staff and myself sat down to review the latest designs for a final plat in the newly annexed area between the school and the old borders of the City. The new plat allows for some better options on infrastructure and the City's engineer wanted to go over the options with the infrastructure committee. The final plat along with the Engineers recommendations will be presented at an upcoming council meeting.

Mayor Bradford attends the DARE graduation

I had the opportunity once again to help in the celebrations for the DARE program graduation at the KM Middle school. The program's aim is to increase knowledge of drug issues within our community and give kids the tools they need to make smart informed decisions.

Great Job Students!
