D6 - Hwy 57 in Mantorville: 2024 constructionWork continues in between wet weatherConstruction in Mantorville on Highway 57 continues on pace as crews work in between rainy days and the effects of wet weather. Calcium chloride was applied in some areas to manage dust from traffic. Do your part by slowing down and following speed limits through the work zones. Many intersections remain open. Be alert for signs and barricades indicating which crossings are closed. Often the next crossing will be open. Crews will be installing storm pipe next week on Ninth Street and will be working to keep the area open. Slow down and look ahead. Work will also be taking place between Sixth and Ninth streets, which will eventually open the area. Watch again for updates when the work is at a stage where traffic may again use it. Use detourIf you're traveling on Highway 57 and don't need to stop in Mantorville, please use the detour. It's more efficient for you and safer for all who live and work within the construction zone. Access remains open for motorists on Highway 57 entering Mantorville from the south to reach their homes or visit businesses. Please follow the signs and slow down. Stay connected, informed |
