D6 - Hwy 57 in Mantorville: 2024 constructionWater and sewer work continues on north endCrews are continuing water and sewer work on the north end of the project near 9thStreet. Construction work has been slowed by the recent rains, but construction crews watch the forecasts to get as much work done before the rain arrives. Storm sewer work is planned next week between 9th and 7 ½ streets along Highway 57 through Mantorville. Slow down in town; local traffic onlyPlease slow down while driving in town. There have been reports of speeding vehicles. Law enforcement is aware of traffic concerns. When entering Mantorville, please use the road for local traffic only to reach your residence in town or to reach a business. The detour is a better, safer route for traffic that is only traveling through on Highway 57. If entering Mantorville from the south on Highway 57, please turn west on 4th Street and travel north on Clay Street. You can reach most destinations on the east side of Main Street/Highway 57 by turning left and using a cross street. Look ahead to find which street is open to cross. Barricades will block those locations where you should not cross. Highway 57 detour. Only local traffic in Mantorville.
